The future of David Trezeguet could lie in Scotland as Italian reports revealed that Rangers are ready to offer £8m for the Frenchman.

Trezegol has been set to move for a while now and the Bianconeri are more than willing to cash in on him.

Ciro Ferrara wouldn’t mind having his former teammate in the squad although the chance to make a profit out it is also an appealing one for the Old Lady.

Considering that the former Monaco player earns around £4m per season and that at the age of 31 his market value can only decrease, sporting director Alessio Secco would be delighted to offload him before the new campaign starts.

However, it will have to be seen whether the Bianconeri No 17 would accept to join a relatively minor club.

Olympique Lyon, Barcelona and Milan have all been after the player so it is more than understandable if David ends up turning down the Scottish team.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Bayern Munich have also enquired about him and the French ace will no doubt consider a move to the Allianz Arena before Ibrox. Source - Channel 4 - Football Italia

Italian newspapers are reporting that Rangers have made a 10million Euro bid for striker David Trezeguet.

The 31-year-old Juventus player has been troubled by injuries and it has been made clear by his club that they will be happy to sell as long as the asking price is met.

Despite the reports in Tuttosport, Rangers have made it clear they would be happy to sell players to help reduce the size of their debt. They’re unlikely to break the bank for a player who would demand a significant wage and transfer fee, and who has struggled for fitness.

Trezeguet’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, told Radio Milan: "For the time being I have not been called into this matter. Regarding Trezeguet, there are many rumours because he appeals to many clubs. If there is a team that the player likes and that club is strongly interested in him, it will be no surprise.

"But only certain offers can be evaluated. As long as the teams that want him play at a high level, there will be no problems.”

The statements contradict earlier comments made by Caliendo that the player wanted to stay in Italy to fight for another league title and the Champions League.

Trezeguet made only eight appearances last season and is contracted for another two years at the club. Source - STV
