CELTIC and Rangers have been told they've no chance of landing Nicklas Bendtner - by the youngster's agent.

The 19-year-old Arsenal striker has impressed the Old Firm this season with his performances on loan at Premiership hopefuls Birmingham.

It was suggested Arsene Wenger was willing to loan him out again next term - news that would have interested the Glasgow sides.

But the talented frontman's agent Thomas Bendtner has shot down any chance that he will be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium.

He said: "There is a lot of interest in him in Britain and elsewhere. But the current situation is that we are talking with Arsenal about a new contract and we expect to agree something within the next few weeks.

"He has been told he will be staying with Arsenal next season and will be expected to fight for his first-team place. We are delighted by that and we are confident that he can be a success there."

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce also wants keep Bendtner on loan for another year. Source - Daily Record
