Filip Sebo
Age: 22
Position: Striker
Current Club: Austria Vienna
Nationality: Slovakian
Outcome: Signed a four year deal with Rangers in a 1.8m deal
02 August
Austria Vienna striker Filip Sebo is expected to sign for Rangers on Thursday after arriving in Glasgow for a medical and contract talks.
The 22-year-old Slovakian told his own website: "It is something I have been dreaming about and I am hoping my dream will come true. I am very close.
"It is hard to express what I am expecting. I take it as it comes. I am full of interesting feelings."
A fee has been agreed after protracted negotiations between the clubs.
The Austrians had been holding out for £2m, while Rangers are believed initially to have offered in the region of £1.2m.
Sebo joined Vienna from Artmedia Bratislava last summer and helped the club complete a league and cup double.
And Austria Vienna director of sport Peter Stoger believes Sebo has made a mistake in coming to Scotland.
"We have advised him to stay with us one more season," he told www.fk-austria.at.
"I think it would have been his year and that it would have made a positive impact on his development.

RANGERS hope to complete the signing of Slovakian striker Filip Sebo within 24 hours.
Chief Executive Martin Bain was finalising the deal with Austria Vienna by phone last night and the 22-year-old could arrive in Glasgow as early as this evening.
He will have a medical and sign a four-year deal and could even be in the squad for Saturday's home match against Dundee United.
The Ibrox club have tabled a third offer, believed to be around £1.5m, and talks will continue today.
Austria Vienna general manager Markus Kraetschmer said: "We have found a way, but there is still something not quite agreeable with the money. There will be an agreement if we can work out these figures. We will now deal with the club and the player this morning.
"I expect to speak again to Martin Bain and the agent and, if Rangers move a little bit, then the player will move on.
"We respect Rangers need a decision soon, too, because I have been told Paul Le Guen has a second option."
Sebo has repeatedly expressed his desire to leave and his agent, Juergen Werner, was called in yesterday to assist in pushing through the deal.
The arrival of Sebo will further intensify the rivalry for positions in attack. Dado Prso started the campaign on Sunday at Fir Park occupying the main striking position and netted in their 2-1 with over Motherwell.
But with Kris Boyd returning from suspension and Sebo set to arrive, Le Guen will have several options.
The manager was keen to add the Slovak to his youthful acquisitions this summer of Jeremy Clement, Karl Svensson, Makhtar N'Diaye, Antoine Ponroy and William Stanger, but expects Sebo to make an immediate impact. Source - Evening Times

Austria Vienna striker Filip Sebo is set to clinch his move to Rangers after his club admitted defeat in their battle to retain the Slovakian.
The Austrians had been holding out for £2m for the 22-year-old.
But general manager Markus Kraetschmer said: "Sadly for us, Sebo wants a move and he said to me it would be a big dream to go to Rangers.
"I have to respect that and, because he's given a lot to the club, I won't destroy his dream."
Kraetchmer had previously criticised Rangers for unsettling the player.
But he added: "We have a massive game on Saturday against Red Bull Salzburg and we've asked Sebo to focus on that.
"Then, at the beginning of next week something can happen because we will talk to Rangers."
Rangers are believed to have offered in the region of £1.2m but the Austrians are looking for double that amount for Sebo.

Filip Sebo is to meet Austria Vienna owner Frank Stronach to plead his case for a move to Rangers.
Both Sebo and Rangers boss Paul Le Guen are eager for a deal to be struck, but Vienna are standing firm, declaring that a transfer would definitely not go ahead.
"Even if Rangers increased their offer to £2 million or more, there is no way we will let him go," said sporting director Peter Stoger on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old striker does not view his statement as definitive though, and is still hopeful of convincing billionaire owner Stronach.
Sebo feels that if he lays down just how important a switch to Ibrox is to him he will be allowed to leave.
"I know what the general manager has said and what the directors have said about the transfer not going ahead," he said.
"But they don't run the club - Frank Stronach does - and he is the one who makes all the decisions.
"I have requested a meeting with him and I am confident that if I tell him that I 100 percent want to join Rangers, he will let me go.

Austria Vienna striker Filip Sebo has demanded the club's owners find an agreement for him to join Rangers.
The Light Blues have increased their bid to £1 million for the player, still £700,000 short of the Austrians' asking price, but the 22-year-old is already set on moving and has put in a transfer request with the club's general manager.
"Everyone knows I want to sign for Rangers but still nothing has been agreed," Sebo told the Daily Record.
"So I have asked for a meeting with Mr Kraetschmer to tell him I want this sorted out.
"The coaches here know I want to leave and understand my situation but it isn't up to them - it's up to the owners of the club.
"I am now hoping to persuade them to let me go to Rangers."
The matter has been complicated by the start of the Austrian season though, as Vienna kick their season off against Salzburg on Tuesday.
Boss Peter Stoger is well aware of the situation, but thinks that it is now too late to recruit a replacement.
"We have other players who want to leave and I don't have a problem with that because we have enough cover in their positions," Stoger added.
"But it's a different state of affairs with Sebo because we don't have many forwards.
"It would take a financially delightful offer from Glasgow Rangers to change our minds but we are still quite far apart from them.
"It is not so easy for us to let him go."

Austria Vienna have given Rangers a 48-hour deadline to agree a fee for Slovakian striker Filip Sebo.
The Ibrox club are back in talks with the Austrian side but so far have failed to meet their valuation.
Vienna general manager Markus Kraepschmer said: "We have been back in contact with Rangers, but their offer is still not acceptable.
"Rangers will really have to move within the next 48 hours because we want this resolved one way or another."
Sebo has expressed his desire to join Rangers.
"We are waiting to hear from them again, but our league season starts on Tuesday and the club have an important Champions League qualifier after that," said Kraepschmer.
"We would like to build our team around Filip, but he has told us he wants to leave."
Vienna had earlier this week told Rangers to double their offer, reportedly of about £1.2m.
Ibrox boss Paul Le Guen has turned his attention to the 22-year-old after losing out on Sweden international Johan Elmander to Toulouse.
Sebo said: "I want to sign for Rangers, but there's just one problem - the clubs cannot agree my transfer fee.
"I know Rangers and Vienna have had meetings, but they have not reached an agreement. It is my dream to play for Rangers."

RANGERS have been told to double their money if they want to sign Austria Vienna's Slovak striker Filip Sebo.
After losing out on Swede Johan Elmander to Toulouse, Gers boss Paul Le Guen has bid around £1m for the 22-year-old Sebo. The player says he wants to sign - but the Austrians are demanding "100% more".
Vienna general manager Markus Kraetschmer said: "Rangers made us an offer two weeks ago and we told the chief executive Martin Bain it couldn't be done on those terms.
We made a counter proposal and have since received another fax. It says they're still interested but their last offer stands. As a result the file is closed at the moment. Rangers will need to offer more, because we don't need to sell Filip.
"The difference between our valuation and Rangers' is more than 100%."
Former Artmedia Bratislava star Sebo is desperate for the move and said: "It is my dream to play for Rangers. My style is ideal for Britain and I want to go there. I even went to Rangers' game at Artmedia last season, so I know all about them."
Kraetschmer added: "Filip told our sporting director Peter Stoger he has a nice offer from Rangers, but he can't get a nice contract in Glasgow if it means that the transfer fee for us has to be smaller." Source - Evening Times

AUSTRIA VIENNA hitman Filip Sebo has begged Paul Le Guen to up his £1.2million offer so he can fulfil a dream switch to Ibrox.
And last night Sebo moved closer to clinching a deal when Rangers' French boss admitted his interest in the Slovak after watching his side kick-start their pre-season tour of South Africa with a 4-0 victory over Jomo Select.
But the bad news for Le Guen is that he could be without Chris Burke for a month.
Burke will miss the start of the season after going over on his ankle while training at the team's base in Johannesburg.
Record Sport can reveal Rangers have tabled a £1.2m bid for Sebo but the Austrians are holding out for £2m.
Sebo is one of several strikers Le Guen is looking at after failing to land Swedish World Cup star Johan Elmander, who signed for Toulouse last week.
Sebo is desperate to join the Le Guen revolution where he would link up with former Austria Vienna team-mate Libor Sionko.
The striker said: "I want to sign for Rangers but there's just one problem - the clubs cannot agree my transfer fee.
"I know Rangers and Vienna have had meetings but they have not reached an agreement. It is my dream to play for Rangers."
Charlie Adam netted a hat-trick last night and a goal from Kris Boyd sealed Rangers' win in the first match of three during their stay in South Africa.
But Le Guen knows that at least four new players have to be signed and the highly-rated Sebo is on his radar.

Austria Vienna star Filip Sebo has stated he wants to join Rangers.
The Gers have bid for the Slovakian, but Vienna manager Frenk Shinkels stated earlier this week that Sebo wanted to stay.
However, the 22-year-old has now revealed he does indeed want to seal a move to Ibrox.
"I know Rangers and Vienna have had meetings but they have not reached an agreement. It is my dream to play for Rangers," he told the Daily Record.
Sebo, though, is frustrated that the two clubs cannot agree a fee for him.

Slovakian striker Filip Sebo is anxious to seal a move from Austria Vienna to Rangers but claims the Ibrox club have fallen short with a bid for him.
"I want to sign for Rangers but there's just one problem - the clubs cannot agree my transfer fee," he told the Daily Record.
"I know they have had meetings but they have not reached an agreement. It is my dream to play for Rangers."
Asked if Sebo could arrive soon, Gers boss Paul Le Guen said: "We will see."
Rangers missed out with an offer for Swedish striker Johan Elmander last week - with the player opting to join Toulouse.
Now Le Guen appears to be targeting the 22-year-old Sebo, who joined Austria Vienna from Artmedia Bratislava last summer.

Striker Filip Sebo is reportedly a target for new Ibrox boss Paul Le Guen
Sebo scored 22 goals last season for his current club Austria Vienna and Le Guen has lined him up in case he cannot land top striking target Johan Elmander of Brondby.
Elmander is currently with the Swedish squad that face England in the World Cup on Tuesday and his former Feyenoord team-mate Thomas Buffel is hoping that he joins him at Rangers.
Buffel told the Mail on Sunday: "Johan is very fast, quite powerful and a big lad who can be dangerous.
"Of course, everyone has to prove themselves in another team and another competition, but I think he has the ability to play for Rangers." Source - FansFC
