PAUL LE GUEN will take a close look at two of Africa's most promising young stars here tonight when Rangers play Jomo Cosmos.

Calvin Kadi, a local 19-year-old striker, and Zambian winger Chris Katongo, 23, are already known to the French coach, who will get the chance to run the rule over the pair.

Katongo caught the eye at last season's African Nations' Cup while Kadi, a South African under-20 international, is already on the wanted list of Manchester City and Feyenoord.

"Katongo is a right winger who has electrifying pace," said Teni Yerima, the player's agent, who also helped organise Rangers' South African tour.

"Paul was aware of Chris when he was in France and had him watched at the African Cup of Nations.
"He is a player Paul likes and he will get a chance to gauge him against his own players when they play Jomo Cosmos.

"Kadi is a young striker who is very quick and is already wanted by a host of top European clubs.
"Both these players would be relatively cheap and I know they would love the chance to go to a top European club like Rangers." Source - Evening Times
