Lyon keeper Gregory Coupet has admitted that he could be tempted to follow Paul Le Guen to Rangers.
Le Guen is widely expected to be named as Alex McLeish's successor, and could even announce his appointment as Rangers boss this weekend. Coupet, who is likely to be France's number one in this summer's World Cup, has revealed that playing in Scotland is an appealing proposition for him.
"If I had the chance to go to Rangers then why not? My favourite memory in my career so far came when I played in Glasgow against Celtic," he recalled.
"The atmosphere was amazing. I can only imagine an Old Firm match would be out of this world.
"Of course it can make a difference if Paul Le Guen is at Rangers and I can continue to learn things under a French coach.
"In football nothing is certain but I am very happy at Lyon at the moment."
Lyon are bracing themselves for an approach from Rangers for some of their stars should Le Guen take over, but director of sport Bernard Lacombe has warned that they will not let any of their players go without a fight.
"We don't want any of our players to follow Paul to Rangers but we know that it could be a problem for us," Lacombe said. Source - Sky Sports News
