RANGERS are monitoring Bordeaux striker Jean-Claude Darcheville's contract situation.

The French striker was linked with a summer move to Ibrox, but claimed he would rather stay another year with Bordeaux.

Now the former Nottingham Forest ace is pondering his future again with his current deal expiring in June.

He said: "I am under contract for six more months and my wish is to go on until the end of it with Bordeaux.

"However, I have to be honest. I am 31-years-old and if a good challenge comes up during the winter transfer window I will have to study it.

"If it had just been a money matter, I would have left Bordeaux a long time ago, but I think about my sporting qualities." Source - Scotsman
