The supporters are privileged

That they can change their mind (or their tune if you like) about a manager in such a short space of time.
Let's all remember one thing here whilst we have clowns gathering outside Ibrox to hurl abuse at a man who had left 25 minutes earlier (David Murray)

Not 1 supporter, that's right, not 1 had any reservations about Paul Le Guen's credentials or ability when he was appointed as Rangers' manager - hell some were almost orgasmic at the thought of our chairman pulling the deal off and we went into dreamland thinking of the quality of play he would bring to Scotland and the quality of player who would be clamouring to sign for this "top 5 in the world" manager that we had just secured.

Paul le Guen had enough confidence in his own ability too and rightly so - he had won three titles on the bounce and taken an immensely talented Lyon team to the latter stages of the Champions League regularly, whippng teams such as Man Utd and Real madrid in the process - not to mention a very public execution of Celtic in France.

Should we hae paid more attention to the fact that his Lyon team got gubbed at Celtic Park? probably but hey, we were gonna rule Europe so we chose to look at the positives and ignore any "blip" such as being unable to beat a mediocre but powerful Scottish team in Scotland.

Now Murray did what he thought was best for the club in recruiting this man, at the same time he was doing what WE thought was best for the club and for once we all sang from the same hymm sheet.Yes there would always be anti-Murray people out there but for a short time they too were silenced as we bristled with optimism and a fresh hope of what was to be the Rangers revival that we all yearned for.

Murray now stands accused of not backing the manager up with the necessary funds - strangely enough Paul le Guen has never commented on this. I'll tell you something, if it was my neck on the block and I had been hung out to dry then I'd certainly be making it known to all and sundry - Le Guen appears to be content with the funds made available to him.

It should also be noted that when journos and critics are citing the 3 million pounds that PLG passed in exchange for Sebo, Clement and Papac - he also spent another couple of million quid removing FanFan, Bernard, Andrews and Malcolm from the squad - they had to be paid for the remainder of their contracts - as did McLeish, Watson and Frank Nuttall -another 2 million. Since they were employees of te club it follows that they must be paid off from club funds and not directly from the chairman's pocket. Worth noting that Murray didn't make the decision to axe the 4 players - Le Guen did and hence it was his decision to spend the money. If Murray decides to remove Le guen (and he won't quit) then it will cost another 10 million or so to start again once we have paid his backroom team and his signings off - leaving us probably in a worse state financially than when he started in June so I don't think it's an option.

You see it's great being a supporter because you have no responsibilties other than to conduct yourself in a manner befitting a Rangers supporter.I will continue to do so and will refrain from standing shoulder to shoulder resembling a lynch mob outside the front doors of Ibrox hurling abuse at either a man who can't understand what you are shouting or a man who knows that regardless of what he does it will never be good enough for some people. These same people who abuse him and accuse him of destroying the club also want him to put his hand in his own pocket and buy a new team for Paul to play with.
They also demand that they be allowed to sit in at his boardroom meetings and be handed (on a big silver platter) a percentage of his shares. I think it's referred to as "Sleeping with the Enemy" and it's not for this bear.

I will be there tomorrow and I'll stay in my seat until the final whistle goes -then i'll get in the car and discuss what went right or wrong with my friends in the confines of my car -NOT in a street NOT on a radio station and NOT in the phone in columns of the fecking Daily Record and anyone who does so is doing Rangers no favours other than giving the club up as prey to our enemies, to be ridiculed by our beleaguered neighbours across the city and the media who NEED your reaction to save their own jobs.

It's each to their own though and we can all do as we see fit - David E Murray made the right choices at this point last year by going all out to secure Le Guen and now we all seek to run and leave him holding the baby. I can't do it just the same as I wouldn't turn against any of my own family or friends when they make a poor choice or decision.

I am but one voice though - you must all do what you think is right.

NO SURRENDER!
