Rangers sign Mendes and look to add Edu & Bresciano

Rangers have added another new face in the shape of Pedro Mendes. The 29-year-old has signed from Portsmouth for £3m on a three-year-deal.

Rangers are now chasing highly rated American midfielder Maurice Edu from Toronto FC. The Evening Times tonight reports that a deal worth £2.5m has been agreed and he will join subject to a work permit being granted.

Another player on Walter Smith's wish list is Australian midfielder Mark Bresciano and it is beleived that a bid has been made which is rumoured to be £4m.
