Rangers have signed 30-year-old French-Gabonese striker Daniel Cousin on a three-year deal from french side RC Lens. Rangers have pipped Bolton and Real Betis to the 6 ft 1 hitman's signature before tonight's Champions League transfer deadline. This means he will be available for selection for next tuesday in the first leg of the third qualifier against FK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade).

Cousin has made 100 appearances for Lens since joining them in 2004 and has scored 25 goals. He had fallen out of favour with the home support after announcing he wanted to quit the french side and has since been a hate figure with the Lens fans.
