Fergie replaces Klos as captain

Rangers have announced that Barry Ferguson will be the captain next season. Stefan Klos had been captain of the teddy bears after Craig Moore was axed from the position. Klos only was captain this season for just under six months as he picked up an injury in training. The arm band was handed to Fernando Ricksen who was already commanding the team and many say you don't need an armband to be a leader and a captain.

Big Eck had always planned to use an outfield player to be captain but feels Ferguson is a better commander than Ricksen. Eck commented "There's no doubt that Fernando Ricksen showed excellent leadership qualities when he take over from Stefan in the second half of last season".

Many fans were asking back in January if he would be captain straight away but many argued he shouldn't and wouldn't walk back into that role. Six months have passed and all is forgoten about Barry leaving all that matters now is that he is back at Ibrox and he has the armband round his arm again.

Ricksen can feel proud that he has been captain all be it only for a short period. If he had been named captain no fan could fault the decision but we all really knew there was only going to be one player to take the arm band.
