After selling Alan Hutton to Tottenham Hotspur today for a reported £9 million Rangers have brought in cover for other areas of the team. Christian Dailly has been brought in from West Ham United on a free transfer for the rest of the season to act as cover for defender Ugo Ehiogu.

Rangers have been trying to find a backup keeper for the past week to allow Roy Carroll to move to Derby County and have finally done so by signing Neil Alexander from Ipswich Town on a three and half year deal.
